Fisher Players is hosting a Fisher’s Got Talent show this November. On Oct. 25, Fisher Players hosted an informational meeting about the upcoming show. Auditions for the show will take place this week on Oct. 27 and 28 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Golisano Gateway. The actual performance will take place on Nov. 11 in Cleary Auditorium.
There will be three celebrity judges at the show: Anthony Lee, President of SGA, the Fisher Cardinal, and a surprise third judge. There will be prizes for first, second, and third place, as well as an audience favorite.
When asking several students what they were interested in doing and why they decided to audition we had a variety of answers.
Cydney Benjamin is hoping to play the piano while she sings. When asked why she decided to do this, she responded, “that this is a chance to express myself and to show people what I am really like.”
Jacob Maurer is hoping to get a chance to play the guitar and sing. He said, “this is a chance to play for a crowd…I haven’t had the chance in a little while, and to get feedback about my playing and singing.
This is a change from the annual cabaret show that Fisher Players would normally host. Members wanted to create a show that could include more talents and interests than just singing.
Come out and audition this week and don’t forget to come to the official Fisher’s Got Talent performance on Nov. 11 at 8 p.m. in Cleary Auditorium.
