Grease auditions set for Sept. 18-20

Fisher Players will travel back in time to the 1950s this year with a presentation of the musical Grease.

Auditions will take place in Cleary Auditorium at 8 p.m. Sunday Sept. 18, Monday Sept. 19 and Tuesday Sept. 20. Callbacks will be at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 21.

Those who audition will be required to sing portions of a song from the show, and also perform a monologue of approximately 1 one minute. The songs from Grease that auditioners must present are as follows:

Those interested in male leads should sing a clip from “Those Magic Changes, which may be seen on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jKUTxkIbYmk.

Those interested in female leads should sing from “Look at Me I’m Sandra Dee” at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K5WZET1dLms.

Tryouts for the ensemble will sing “You’re the One That I Want, ” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BSLV16tcr20.

The monologue can be from any source (television show, movie, play, etc.)
